Join FLPIR at the No Kings March in Oakland, Saturday, June 14

Dear Friends,

Trump’s escalating war on immigrants and civil liberties requires a rapid and bold response. We strongly encourage you to join us in this Saturday’s “No Kings” demonstrations which are happening in over 1,800 communities across all 50 states. 

We will be meeting up at 12:45pm sharp at Wilma Chan Park, 810 Jackson St (formerly Madison Square Park), bounded by Jackson, Madison, 8th and 9th Streets in Oakland.

We will be distributing red and yellow cards. We will also be passing out small flyers announcing two events at La Pena: June 18th Court Watch Training and June 22nd Hybrid Know Your Rights Workshop/ Court Watch Training Program. 

Please bring a backpack to hold cards and flyers, a red apron, your La Pena caps and your water bottle.  

We will march to Oscar Grant Plaza for a rally at 2pm.

There will also be protests in San Francisco, Berkeley and other locales. Stay safe wherever you are protesting!

Court Watch Trainings at La Peña

In response to recent immigrant detentions by ICE at San Francisco and Concord courthouses, we are offering Court Watch in collaboration with California Collaboration for Immigrant Justice (CCIJ) trainings as part of our Immigrant Rights Ambassador Training.
